Thank you for choosing our freeze-dried healthy food products. This Return Policy provides information about your rights and the conditions for returning goods in accordance with the applicable laws of the Republic of Lithuania and European Union consumer protection requirements.
This policy is prepared in accordance with:
- Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania
- Law on Consumer Protection of the Republic of Lithuania
- Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights
1. Right to Withdraw from the Contract (14-Day Rule)
The Buyer (consumer) has the right to withdraw from a distance sales contract within 14 calendar days from the date of receiving the goods, without providing any reason.
To exercise this right, you must notify us within 14 days from the date of receipt of the goods by email at info@smartbite.lt or in writing at:
Radutės g. 24-1, LT-42109 Rokiškis, Lithuania.
Your notification must include:
- Full name
- Order number
- Product name
- A clear statement of your decision to withdraw from the contract
2. Exceptions – When Food Products Cannot Be Returned
In accordance with Lithuanian legislation, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Sealed food products that have been opened after delivery and cannot be returned for health protection or hygiene reasons;
- Perishable goods or goods with a short shelf life;
- Goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized items.
As “Smart Bite” sells freeze-dried food products, opened or damaged packages cannot be returned due to food safety requirements.
3. Conditions for Returning Eligible Goods
Goods may be returned if:
- They have not been opened or damaged;
- The original packaging is intact and undamaged;
- The product has not lost its commercial appearance;
- The return is made within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt.
The Buyer is responsible for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
4. Refunds
Once we receive the returned goods and assess their condition, we will issue a refund within 14 calendar days from the confirmation of the return.
Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed with the consumer.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or you have provided proof that the goods have been sent back.
5. Return Costs
If goods are returned due to withdrawal from the contract without reason, the Buyer is responsible for covering the return shipping costs.
If goods are returned due to:
- Defective goods;
- Manufacturing defects;
- Incorrect or mistaken delivery;
then the return shipping costs will be covered by “Smart Bite, MB”.
6. Defective Goods
If you receive defective or damaged goods, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@smartbite.lt and provide:
- Order number
- Photos of the product
- Description of the defect
In accordance with applicable laws, the consumer has the right to request:
- Replacement with goods of proper quality;
- A refund;
- A price reduction;
- Repair of defects, where possible.
7. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first using the details provided above.
If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the consumer has the right to обратиться:
